Hyundai Rotem is a global heavy industry company that specializes in manufacturing rolling stock, military equipment and plant engineering. It is able to produce all types of rolling stock, including electric multiple units (EMUs), highspeed trains, engine locomotives, wireless trams and magnetic levitation (maglev) trains. In addition, it is ushering in the new era of eco-friendly hydrogen fuel by developing trains powered by hydrogen fuel cells along with hydrogen infrastructure and hydrogen markets. Further, its industrial wearable robot technology that assists field workers is proving to be a game changer at sites such as automobile production lines and steel mills. Hyundai Rotem is a living witness of the Korean railway industry. It succeeded in localizing for high-speed trains, and in turn has commercialized advanced high-speed EMU. The progenitor of high-speed trains in Korea, Hyundai Rotem has also introduced future mobility such as hydrogen fuel cell tram and is currently building up its business competitiveness as a global player.

World class ground weapon system of Hyundai Rotem is competing globally, beyond Korea. We develop and produce the wheeled armored vehicles that are becoming the second foot of infantry units in Republic of Korea after K2 main battle tank, which has proven its global competitiveness. Hyundai Rotem is striving to secure original technologies to lead the field of future ground weapon systems such as multipurpose unmanned ground vehicles based on unmanned technology, along with next-generation main battle tank and wheeled armored vehicle.

Hyundai Rotem is at the forefront of innovation in high-tech industrial facilities. Hyundai Rotem is capable of building hydrogen energy facilities such as SMR (Steam Methane Reformer) that produce hydrogen, hydrogen refueling station and hydrogen shipping center, in order to realize a hydrogen society. In addition, Hyundai Rotem provides smart mobility facility solutions such as presses and automated logistics systems for manufacturing mobility products and has secured the ability to supply high quality steel facilities incorporating pollutant emission reduction technology.
